Sweet Streets Introduction

So you’ve found my blog section, welcome! I’m glad you made it.

So what is Sweet Streets? It’s my passion project. I’ve been planning on doing something like this for quite some time and now, finally, I’m doing it. Every month I’m going to publish a short newsletter featuring a sweet street. Essentially, this is a publication anchored around interesting streets, paths or roadways with some commentary on what it does well and what we can learn from it. My hope is that this will be of some interest to other planners, engineers, decision makers, developers, realtors, and regional advocates by starting discussions centered on the world around us.

Each edition will also include contributor editorials. The range of people will include other land use professionals, decision makers, and members of the community. The intent of this is to share insights into specific niches in the industry, or specializations, and encourage interdisciplinary thought as we see contributions from fields outside of planning.

The newsletter will be published on the first Tuesday of each month and will be released via Substack and the NS Land Use Consulting website. The newsletter will also have a yearly print edition, highlighting several additional stories, entries from contributors, and an editor’s essay. 

And that’s pretty much it. I figure it’s best to keep it sweet and simple. So I hope you enjoy and come back for more soon.
